Report I

Game: Dead by Daylight

Title: The healing bar appears full upon entering the basement on the map Mother's Dwelling, with the ability Strength in Shadows

Environment:

  • Platform: PC

  • Operating System: Windows 11

  • Launcher: Steam

  • Game Version: 9.3.2

  • Game Mode: Public gameplay

Time:

  • Date: 06.01.2024

  • Time: 13:00 (1:00 PM)

  • Time Zone: GMT+1

Severity: Medium (visual bug that can mislead players when assessing health status)

Description: Using the perk Strength in Shadows, after entering the basement in critical state the healing bar immediately shows as fully filled, even though the character is still in critical state. Healing does not occur automatically — the player must complete the full healing process, but the bar does not show the correct progress.

Prerequisites:

  • Start a public online game as Survivor
  • Select the perk Strength in Shadows
  • Be on the map Mother's Dwelling

Steps to reproduce:

  • Start a match.

  • Take damage to entercritical state

  • Enter the basement until the ability activates (the ability tile in the lower left corner of the screen will highlight)

  • Start healing using the ability Strength in Shadows

  • Begin healing

Actual Result:

  • The healing bar immediately shows as full upon starting healing.

  • During healing, the bar does not progress — it remains full throughout the action.

  • Healing takes the full time and proceeds normally, despite the incorrect display of the bar.

Expected Result: The healing bar should reflect the current health status of the character and progress according to the healing time.

Frequency of Occurrence: Always on the map Mother's Dwelling, other maps require further checking

Additional Information: The bug may be related to the interaction between the Mother’s Dwelling map, the basement, and the ability Strength in Shadows, but further checking is needed to see if the bug appears in basements on other maps.

Report II

Game: Dead by Daylight

Title:Mismatch between description and functionality of healing items affecting gameplay

Environment:

  • Platform: PC

  • Operating System: Windows 11

  • Launcher: Steam

  • Game Version: 9.3.2

  • Game Mode: irrelevant

Time:

  • Date: 06.01.2024

  • Time: 09:37 (9:37 AM)

  • Time Zone: GMT+1

Severity: High

Description:

Healing a survivor requires16 charges of a medkit. Each type of medkit contains24 charges, allowing for1 full healing + 8 remaining charges. After adding add-ons:

  • Bandages or adhesive bandage: +8 charges

  • Gauze Roll: +10 charges

The total number of charges should be24 + 8 + 10 = 42, which is enough for2 full healings (32 charges) and leave10 extra charges..

In practice, however, the setis not enough for even 2 full healings — charges run out by the end of the second healing, even though mathematically there should be a few left.

Prerequisites:

  • Select public online gameplay asSurvivor

Steps to reproduce:

  • Select a standard medkit (24 charges).

  • Add add-ons: Bandages or Self adherent wrap (+8) and Gauze Roll (+10).

  • Start a match as a Survivor.

  • Take damage and enter critical state. Complete full healing (16 charges).

  • Take damage again.

  • Start the second healing and observe the charge consumption.

  • Actual Result:

Medkit charges run out by the end of the second healing, even though theoretically, there should still be around 10 left. The set of 42 charges does not allow for two full healings, even if all skill checks performed during healing were good or great.

Expected Result:

Medkit charges should be consumed according to the value of 16 charges per full healing. A set of 42 charges should allow for two full healings and leave unused charges.

Frequency of Occurrence:

Always (may require further verification).

Additional Information:

The defect may result from an inappropriate description of healing items (their charge count) or improper functioning of healing items.

3. Second treatment (same match, using the same healing set) - execution interrupted due to lack of charges
